In 2013, Australian New York City resident Yael Stone played inmate "Lorna" Morello as part of Orange Is the New Black. Yael was awarded her NIDA degree. At a very young age, Yael has been lucky to have worked with some of some of Australia's top storytellers, stars of performance and visionaries working behind the scenes of film TV, theatre, and film. Yael's work is well-known in Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael has made New York City her home following her role in the Brooklyn Academy of Music produced the critically acclaimed production. Yael is co-founder The Cannery. The Cannery. The Cannery supports innovative creativity, writing and artistic endeavors through the Bushwick studio.
