Srushti Dehmukh started preparing for UPSC during the final year of her engineering degree. She wondered if engineering was the right career for her. Later, she realized her dream was civil services and started to focus on this. Her parents encouraged her to go into civil service and pursue a public-service career. It took her just one month working on the test and kept completely off of Facebook and other social media in her lives. It is important to focus in order to succeed on this test. She is hoping to join a civil service. She worked hard to make sure she passed the test in her first attempt. Every day, she read the papers to stay on top of current affairs.
