Meredith Salenger
Salenger has been raised and lived in Malibu. She enjoyed performing for her friends and family as an early child. She was 8 years old when she was enrolled by her mother into her first acting class. The John Huston directed film Annie in which she was a tiny role where she was identified as an "singing and dance orphan". Salenger performed a number of television commercials. Salenger was the first actress to be cast in The Journey of Natty Gann from Disney in which she starred John Cusack alongside Ray Wise. The film took home the Moscow Film Festival's golden medal as the first movie made in America. The film was named "Best actress in Drama" from the Youth in Film Awards, because of her portrayal of the sexy Natty. After turning 18, she also acted in four movies, including A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon. In the following years, she relocated to Harvard for the purpose of continuing her studies.
